Leading cloud data management player Cohesity has appointed Harvey Smith (pictured) as director of channel development, UK, Ireland and the Benelux.
In his new role, Smith will lead the big channel player’s partner strategy, through integration and engagement via the new Cohesity Aspire Partner Programme launched in August.
Cohesity is continuing the process of integrating the products and services of the Veritas backup and data protection business that it acquired last year.
Smith has previously helped to implement extensive ecosystem programmes for DocuSign, Hitachi Data Systems, VMware, and Tableau (acquired by Salesforce).
“Smith's appointment marks an exciting next step in our partner strategy for the UK, Ireland, and Benelux,” said Stéphane Arnaudo, senior director of channel sales, Europe, at Cohesity. “His track record of leading transformative, large-scale partner and alliance programmes across the region is going to be instrumental in helping our partners deliver more innovative, impactful data security solutions, with increased compliance and business insight capabilities.”
