Hypertec in Black Box deal

Exertis subsidiary Hypertec has sealed a supplier agreement with Black Box, the provider of voice, data infrastructure and network products.

In March 2018, Exertis acquired £20m-turnover distributor Hypertec, which specialises in memory, storage and security products.

Lianne Denness, Hypertec managing director, said: “The Black Box portfolio fully supports and complements our current product ranges by providing the infrastructure products that can wrap around them.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our resellers and system integrators providing them with access to the full range of products and services from Black Box which can be deployed in a multitude of vertical markets.”

The Black Box range includes KVM switches and extenders, cabinets and racks, digital signage, LAN/WAN products, industrial networking, USB connectivity and collaborative solutions.

Bridget Hayes, Black Box sales director for technology product solutions for the UK and the Nordics, said: “Our products are known for their advanced functionality and fail-safe security. We are pleased to be partnering with Hypertec who not only provide a strong value proposition but also have excellent relationships with their resellers, which can enable us to continue our growth in the commercial and public sectors.”
