Service provider Sentia acquires Ymor to boost coverage

Hybrid cloud services MSP Sentia has acquired fellow Dutch-Danish service provider and monitoring specialist Ymor.

With the acquisition Sentia extends its service portfolio in application performance monitoring, with Ymor supporting companies in this area across the Benelux and Scandinavian markets.

Ian Zein, CEO and co-founder of Sentia Group, said: “Application performance monitoring is already part of our service offering, and with Ymor we will be even better able to increase the scale and possibilities of our solutions.”

Like Sentia, Ymor delivers its solutions as a managed service. Zein said: “The acquisition underlines our focus on business-critical applications. The fact that we are both active in the Benelux region and Denmark makes this transaction an obvious move.”

Iman Alipour and Jeffrey Braam, board members of Ymor, said: “We are convinced that with this strategic move we can realise our growth ambitions, and at the same time serve our customers with the premium, objective performance monitoring that we have been renowned for.

“The fact that we now have a full cloud portfolio [for Azure and AWS cloud services] is very interesting for existing customers and partners.”

After the acquisition the Sentia team in the Netherlands will consist of 280 employees. The total number of employees in The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Bulgaria will amount to 575. The current Ymor team and its management will operate as a team within Sentia. The 80 specialists will remain working from their recently upgraded office in Utrecht.
