Software defined storage specialist Scality has launched a Cloud & Service Provider (SCSP) programme with a pay-as-you-go licensing model aimed at boosting revenue for Veeam partners.
The new programme uses Scality ARTESCA as a 100% software storage backup target for Veeam Backup-as-a-Service offerings that it claims gives “unmatched scale and cyber resiliency”, with a pricing model aligned with Veeam’s pay-as-you-go licensing framework.
Scality says that its new pay-as-you-go licensing model will help minimise sales friction, streamline order processing while boosting Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), with enhance backup functionality with reduced complexity.
The previous subscription model set a fixed capacity that required an upfront commitment contract for a set number of years, while the new consumption offering uses monthly-generated report with customers paying for usage. Key features include flexible term commitment options, with a choice of a 1-, 2-, or 3-year ARR commitment; and dynamic monthly billing.
Cloud and service providers can start with 50 TB and expand infinitely as customers’ storage needs grow, making ARTESCA suitable for both small and large deployments.
“With this launch, we’re enabling Veeam Cloud & Service Providers and partners to deliver security, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency to their customers,” said Eric LeBlanc, Vice President, Worldwide Channel at Scality.
