Education sector lifts Circle IT sales by 40%

Welsh MSP Circle IT says it achieved “record profits and revenues” for the year. The company said it had built up its legacy business in South Wales and had won new customers across the UK, cementing its position as a key supplier to the education sector.

For the 12 months ended 30 November, the Cardiff-headquartered firm saw sales reach £15m – up 40% on last year - and recurring revenue stood at over £3.2m.

“Whilst the company has a strong hold in England and Scotland, this year’s figures demonstrate Circle IT’s commitment to the Welsh market - with 35% of project work and over 50% of managed business support coming from Wales,” said the firm.

Welsh client wins included Orangebox, University of South Wales and Cardiff & Vale College. Clients outside Wales included St Andrews University in Scotland, Newcastle City Council, Cognita and UKTV.

Circle IT CEO, Roger Harry (pictured), said: “This year has seen us work with an increasing focus on education and we have performed well in meeting our strategic goals to solidify our efforts in this market. With significant client wins we have also expanded our support services to Europe, where we now have satellite offices on the continent which are opening up further avenues of growth.”

Circle IT was established in 2001 and is a provider of IT infrastructure, managed services and consultancy to the mid-market.
