Barracuda Networks replaces CEO with former RSA head honcho

Big channel player Barracuda Networks has changed its CEO. Rohit Ghai, former CEO of RSA, has been appointed new CEO, replacing Hatem Naguib.

Naguib had served as CEO since 2021, following tenures as chief operating officer, and senior vice president and general manager of Barracuda’s security business unit.

Ghai brings more than two decades of executive leadership across cybersecurity and SaaS technology firms, including RSA, EMC, Symantec, and CA Technologies. His appointment “signals a new chapter for Barracuda as it enters its next phase of expansion”, said the company.

“Barracuda’s commitment to delivering industry-leading solutions and its relentless focus on partner and customer success make it a world-class organisation. I am excited about the opportunity to accelerate Barracuda’s business momentum,” said Ghai.

Ghai will join Barracuda’s board of directors. He also serves on the boards of Pegasystems, D-Wave Systems and MHC Software, and previously served on the board of Everbridge.
