Swiitzerland-headquartered distributor ALSO has added to its Cloud Marketplacecybersecurity portfolio with Cisco Umbrella and Cisco Stealthwatch.
ALSO resellers can now offer customers threat protection with Cisco Umbrella, a cloud network enterprise security solution that aims to provide defence for any device, wherever users go, it says.
With multiple security functions combined into one solution, including the ability to block advanced attacks, as well as malware, botnets and phishing threats, Cisco Umbrella “offers a fast and easy way to protect remote and roaming workers, secure direct internet access at branch offices, and control the use of cloud-based apps without the need for another appliance”, it says.
Cisco Stealthwatch also aims to provide network transparency by using machine learning to monitor customer networks using telemetry data from their own infrastructure. With Stealthwatch, ALSO points out that “complex threats can be identified, rapid countermeasures taken and critical data protected by intelligent network segmentation.”
Based on Cisco’s analysis of the world internet activity, Cisco Umbrella detects and blocks internet connections to malicious destinations, regardless of port, protocol or application, it says. All on-network devices can be used to provision Umbrella, which integrates with Cisco SD-WAN to secure networks and direct internet access. Off-network, the software is available for laptops using Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS, and supervised Apple devices that run iOS 11.3 or higher.
