ABC Data, the Polish distributor, has revealed it had attempted to buy Czech IT distributor DNS. According to the official statement made by ABC Data, the company has decided not to reveal this information earlier because of the ongoing confidential negotiations. It follows ABC Data's results and statement on active acquisition strategy.
However, due to the recent conclusion of the talks, which did not bring about the completion of a transaction, the company’s board has decided to disclose now this information to the public.
DNS is a Prague-based value-added distributor of IT technologies and was first set up 19 years ago. Currently the company, which is a part of eD’system Czech Group, has turnover of $100m and 70 employees across a few divisions: Dell, HP, IBM, Infrastructure, Software, Services and Cloud and Storage.
